Chelsea Sells Sea Shells by the Seashore…

Living my entire life in the Monmouth County area of New Jersey, I don’t remember a time in my life where I wasn’t going to the beach. As a kid, my mother would wake my sisters and I up very early, pack lunch and head to the beach where we’d spend most Summer Saturdays, from dawn to dusk by the waves.

In March of 2020, during the rising of the Corona Virus pandemic, I was feeling bored and anxious. I started going for my usual walks but stopping at the Atlantic Highlands Bay to collect shells.  I loved all the colors, shapes and sizes of shells that I could find. I bought a sea shell identification book and discovered more about the shells that I bought home. Until, one day my sister told me that I should make jewelry out of these treasures. So I did just that!
